What recent book or film have you been affected by?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for June 12, 2008:
I have just read The Fountainhead, by Ayn Rand. It advocates some pretty radical ideas, very libertarian, I think. I don't agree with all the ideas in the book, but I do agree with Ms. Rand in that one's opinions and beliefs must come from oneself and be the results of reason. Though I have usually not taken everything for granted and have always tried to confirm things for myself, this book took that to a new level. It taught me that even the most fundamentals can be wrong, and it gave a higher capability to doubt, which should be very valuable in my quest to help the earth.

this is one of my friends' fav book (and she is a libertarian, hmmmm…).

I don't think she is a libertarian because she loves the book, I think she loves the book because she is a libertarian.
